Noise is omnipresent, yet for a long time it played only a minor role in architectural discourse. With “Ēchos”, Anna Sudy, Leonie Felger, and Anna Antoni have developed a family of seating objects that draws on the column as an organizing element and mediates between the body, space, and sound. The furniture, designed to absorb low frequencies, combines acoustic effects with spatial design and demonstrates how acoustics can naturally become an integral part of architecture and our experience of space.
