Terra-Pore
The “Terra-Pore” acoustic panels turn local materials into sound-absorbing design elements.
With “Terra-Pore”, Abhishek Blesson Manuel Alex Sahayam presents acoustic panels made from locally available materials: The rammed panels combine clay with “PreDinkel”, an innovative and sustainable acoustic material from PREFORM, consisting of spelt husks – a natural agricultural byproduct – and an eco-friendly binder. In “Terra-Pore”, structural layers of clay alternate with layers containing a high proportion of spelt husks and color pigments. The panels thus offer a circular economy-oriented alternative to acoustically effective synthetic panels.
